The Bahn Gaia Continent (バーンガイア大陸) is a continent in the world of Lambda. Also known as the Warhammer of Zantark (『ザンタークの戦鎚』), because of its T-shape.[1] The warhammer's "handle" is separated from the head by the Boundary Mountain Range.[2]
Geography[]
The continent is roughly divided into the following three regions:
The northwest: The Amid Empire and its vassal states.[3][1][4] It espouses a conservative faction of Alda's religion under the Pope.[5]
The northeast: Ruled by the central government of the Orbaume Kingdom and 12 duchies affiliated with the elective monarchy. There is a relatively large number of followers of Vida, and the power of Alda's religion is relatively weak.[1]
The south, inside of the Boundary Mountain Range, or the Warhammer's handle: This region is isolated from the rest by the Boundary Mountain Range that Vida created 100,000 years ago to protect the people who follow her.[6]
General Situations[]
The following is a description of the situation in each region around the birth of Vandalieu. In addition, in the human realm of the north, a faction of the Vampires who worship the evil god Hihiryushukaka has deep roots.[5]
The Northwest, the Amid Empire[]

The Amid Empire and four vassal states, Mirg, Kalahad, Yond, and Marmuke, exist.[3][4][7][8] The conservatives of Alda's religion are strong here, and they do not recognize human rights for Vida's races. Vida's races live in slavery, being paupers or adventurers, or in hiding in remote areas.[9][4][10][11]
The Mirg Shield-Nation, located in the east and bordering the Orbaume Kingdom, is on the verge of war with the Sauron Duchy.[1]
The Northeast, the Orbaume Kingdom[]

There are 12 duchies (petty kingdoms), and the royal domain ruled by the king of the whole elected among them by the mutual vote. The policy of Vida's races is different in each duchy, but the discrimination is not so harsh that ordinary people refuse to deal with the dark elves and beast-kins who don't have a Rank.[12]
The South, or the warhammer's handle[]
It is the place where the champion Zakkart faced his end for the second time.[1]
For northern adventurers, this is unexplored territory.[13] Almost the entire area is a devil's nest filled with the monsters of Rank 3 or above. Because of the powerful monsters that inhabit the mountain range, even A-Class adventurers do not attempt to enter here.[14][15][16]
The area is inhabited by Vida's races and civilized monsters, as well as three human races protected by them. Because of the barrier centered on Vida's Resting Grounds, the gods of Alda's faction and Rodcorte can hardly interfere with the humans inside.[17][18] Only Rodcorte can read the memories of dead human races.[19]
As listed below, the region is divided into three parts.
Talosheim[]
A city-state of the Titans, located at the northern end of the handle, destroyed 200 years ago by an expedition of the Mirg Shield-Nation and left in ruins where the undead roam.[14]
The vast marshlands[]
The area separating Talosheim from the states of the republic. Lizardmen's tribes who worshipped Fidirg flourished there, but someone took over 100 years ago.[20]
Buugih's republic[]
The following countries flourish under the alliance among city-States launched 50,000 years ago by the Noble Orc Empire's Wise Emperor Buugih.[21][22] In recent years, a Noble Orc was exiled for the crime of identity fraud.[21]
