Eisen (アイゼン) is an ent who followed Vandalieu. She is the pseudo-reincarnation of a merchant from Niarki named Daene (デーヌ), also known as the Apple Lady.[2]
Appearance[]
As Daene, she was a middle-aged woman.[3][2]
As Eisen, she ranked second place after Bellmond in the bust rankings,[4][5] as an I-cup.[6][7][8][9]
Evolving into a skogsrå, Eisen became a green-skinned woman with such an attractive figure, that men would ogle and reach towards her. Her face was well-featured; she was a seductive, beautiful woman in between her mid-twenties and early thirties with slightly drooping eyes. With this appearance, one might assume that she was a popular prostitute who had painted her skin and put on strange clothes to match the taste of a customer with peculiar tastes. However, her back was covered in bark instead of skin, and branches were growing from it and a cow-like tail. Those branches were growing red, apple-like fruits.[10]
After becoming a Skogsrå Empress, she now has a crown of leaves on her head and her branches are capable of producing vividly-colored flowers, sweet nectar and all kinds of other fruits in addition to her iron-like apples, such as gante fruits fruits that resemble human eyeballs.[11]
Personality[]
As Daene, she was a very selfish woman who had no qualms about stealing from a child. Shown by how she claimed Vandalieu's coins were fake and kept them all for herself. On top of that, she was willing to kidnap Vandalieu and sell him into slavery, simply because he was a dhampir and she knew she could get a lot of money for him.[?] Growing up she was forced to work to support her family in her father's stead, and then married off where she was worked as a servant by her mother-in-law, an unhealthy cycle she hoped to perpetuate once her son got married. Instead her thankless son eloped with his life, showing no sign of wanting to make life easier for his mother.[12] One could feel sympathy for her situation, but she reaped what she sowed.[2]
After she died she felt a sense of fulfillment that she had never managed to experience while she was alive. She even felt proud at the fact that she could be a part of something bigger.[12] Like Chezare, she is the type of person who is shining more brightly after death. However, Vandalieu does not remember what kind of person she was in her previous life.[2]
As Eisen, she took pride in the delicious food her body produces. She also had a ferocious side that tried to use anyone she deemed an enemy as her fertilizer.[?]
Background[]
Daene was born in Niarki and her life had been a series of small misfortunes, where things never went her way. When her father got injured, she was forced to work to support her family. And as soon as he recovered enough to be able to work again, he forced her to get married, so life remained busy for her. Her mother-in-law worked her like a servant,[12] and Daene had to raise her son while making a living selling fruit in the city.[2] Then her mother-in-law and her husband died. When her son married a woman, Daene was relieved that life would become easier, now that it was her turn to abuse her daughter-in-law, however her thankless son instead took his wife and left. The only one who would listen to Daene’s words was her foolish nephew. Nothing good happened after that, either, and repeated an endless cycle of growing apples and selling them.[12]
She stole money from Vandalieu, saying that the coin he gave her was fake, and when he fled the Adventurers’ Guild and left the city, she tried to capture him and sell him off, only to die in madness through his Scream and Mind Encroachment. Then she turned into an Undead and fought Heinz and his party and showed wonderful effort by becoming the core of a Zombie Giant. After that, she was pseudo-reincarnated as an ent that Vandalieu found in the Eclipse King's Orchard, which produces iron-hard apple-like fruits. She is currently equipped inside his body.[2]
As the plant-type monsters in the Immortal Ent forest of Talosheim increased in rank to become skogsrå and leshi, Eisen naturally became their mediator.[11]
