Gartland is a vast subterranean space deep beneath the Demon King's Continent and a refuge for Vida's Progeny, created by the gods who wished to merge with Vida's Faction. It is about one-third the size of the continent itself.[2]

Overview[]

After the Demon King Guduranis was sealed and Vida fell into slumber, the gods, who did not want to destroy the world as the remnants of the Demon King's Army and could not join the Alda's faction that has ruled the world, created this underground space to join the Vida's faction by taking credit for protecting Vida's progeny, which was under persecution.[2]

It is equipped with the sphere of light and heat to act as a sun, and has environments such as forests, plains, subterranean salt lakes, snowy mountains, and deserts, where people can live almost as they do above ground.[2]

The entrance is hidden so that only the new race of Vida can see it. Because it was designed to be invisible to demigods, Vandalieu was unable to discover this entrance and needed Doraneza's guidance.[2]

Conflict[]

When Nineroad designated the Demon King's continent as a dumping ground for the world's polluted Mana,[5] Gartland, beneath it, also became more polluted and its monsters more powerful, but things have calmed down as the residents voluntarily improved their fighting skills, and accepted Merfolks, who are adapted to underwater warfare.[2]
