Lambda is the world in which most of the story takes place. It's the third world Vandalieu is reincarnated into.
The whole world is a spherical planet, which was known in the creation myth's era and is taught in primary education, but most inhabitants have forgotten this fact.[1]
Language in this world seems to be mostly Japanese, as the language and letters used were passed down from the champions. Commoners only use kana, while kanji is mostly used among nobles and successful merchants with advanced education.[2]

Transmigration[]
Three circles of transmigration exists in Lambda. Originally, it was the transmigration cycle of Rodcorte which dominated Lambda. It was later accompanied by two other cycles: the Demon King's cycle dedicated to monsters, and Vida's cycle dedicated to her offspring.[3]
Alda seeks the destruction of the latter two, whom he deems 'problematic products'. Although he recognizes the benefits of monsters spawning in dungeons, he believes it did not make up for the disadvantages. Besides, he also wishes to discuss making the dungeon generate monsters without souls with Ricklent. And Vida's cycle was still unstable and would essentially place its management in the hands of mortals, which was unthinkable.[3]
Due to countless conflicts fought over the last 1000 years, on both small and large scales, the development of the world has stagnated. Progress within a wide variety of fields (magic, martial arts, literature, science, engineering, art, cuisine) had developed only to be lost soon after, whereas other worlds progressed as normal.[4] Compared to Earth and Origin, which had already reached the age of industrialization, Lambda's development was rather 'inferior'.[3]
According to Alda, the population of Lambda counted less than 100 000 000 people.[3] At such a rate, a single catastrophic event could trigger a sudden decline, putting the circle of transmigration at risk.[4]
