- Skill explanation is a simple explanation of the collection known to the Adventurers' Guild, Mages’ Guild and Tamers’ Guild, as well as other races it a reference for existing knowledge on skills
Skills are divided into two states:
- Passive skills are always exhibiting its effect.[1]
- Active Skills can be used as if flipping a switch.[1]
Unique Skills are very rare skills that there's little documentation about. It's not uncommon that the one who gains such a skill are the first known individual with it in the world.[1]
In Lambda, the people differentiate between two types of abilities: (1) magic of the different attributes, and (2) techniques such as alchemy and spiritual magic. "The magic of the attributes is simply one’s affinity for attributes and how well he or she can use those attributes. (…) Techniques such as alchemy and spiritual magic represent different skills that applying the attributes that one possesses an affinity for in different ways."[2]
"From Vandalieu’s experience, the effects of skills didn’t change significantly when they transformed into others. It sounded dangerous and suspicious to say that he would entice or guide people on a demon path, but there wouldn’t be any changes on the scale of the sun turning into a lump of ice."[1]
Once a skill reaches level 10, it may awaken into a superior skill.[3][4]
